Optional Competitions
You have the opportunity and OPTION to compete in either the Talent or Oral Essay Competition. We provide a separate panel of judges who have a background in the arts. All talent and essays will be judged during the preliminary portion of the program. This competition is not a part of the overall score.
Talent Competition
All you have to do is prepare a 2-minute talent* and that's it! It doesn't matter if you are a seasoned performer or the thought of performing on stage gives you stage fright. No matter what your skill level, our talent competition provides the perfect setting for you to showcase your skills.
*All background music must be on tape or cd
Essay Competition
You also have the opportunity to compete in the Essay Competition.
Simply write a 200-word essay* on "What is the biggest issue facing teens today and how can I bring awareness to it?" and show us your creative abilities.
*The 200 word essay must be memorized for competition
